How to convert an infidel to Christianity
(1) Do not try to prove the existence of a God to him. There is no proof and he
usually knows this.
(2) First, prove the reliability, truth and reality of the Bible.
(3) Then, prove that Jesus is the God of the Universe by using the Bible.
Even if it can be proven that there exists a personal God, it is a long way from
proving
anything about the truth, the reality, and the reliability of the Bible or of Jesus. As
you
know the Bible is the special book that is considered by many to be a message from the
God of the Universe. It is therefore considered true in all aspects, including science and
ethics.
The Bible is also the only source of information about Jesus, especially important to
Jesus worshippers.
As you also know, Infidels do not believe the Bible is divine or is a message from God
of the Universe, but believes it is a book that is purely man-made and reflects the
primitive beliefs, ethics, science of 2000 or so years ago. Also infidels do not
believe
Jesus is God or divine or for that matter particularly enlightening, morally or otherwise.
So, the task of converting an infidel is to show the Bible presents truth and reality,
and is reliable.
To come to terms with their pasts Infidels have over the years
often studied the Bible
to see its truth, and have come away believing it is not revealed truth at all
-- that it is definitely not inerrant. One of the
sticky points in the Bible is the
Genealogy of Jesus If this difficulty in the Bible can be
rationally explained,
then an infidel will become more open to conversion. See the following in the
order given:

If this difficulty in the Bible cannot be rationally explained, then the rest of the
Bible, including the Jesus part is in jeopardy. The reliability and the
truthfulness of the Bible is at stake here. If this difficulty is not resolved, then
you may as well forget about the rest of the Bible in any inerrant religious sense.
