Some Factors against belief in Jesus:
(1) Evil Spirits: Jesus believed in Evil Spirits.
We know now that conditions such as Epilepsy, deaf and dumb, etc. are
physically caused, not caused by Evil Spirits.
Why did Jesus not give instructions on anatomy or the brain?
In other words enlighten the people.
The argument might be that this can be excused because of the primitive times
in which Jesus lived, and people could not understand the modern explanation.
Or, the argument might be that people were meant to go through the learning
experience to find this out for themselves -- so, to make better people of them.
For their own good!
These arguments do not hold!!!
The discoveries of the science, including anatomy and the causes of illness,
were and are made by very few people (scientists), and therefore people are not
experiencing this kind of growth. But, people generally are benefiting from these
discoveries that they did not make. They dont have to struggle for information.
People also benefit from this knowledge even if they cannot understand it.
So, there would have been no difference in Jesus (God?) helping people by
providing helpful medical information and scientists doing it.
Why did Jesus not do it. Either he is not God, but only a man of his times or
he is a criminal God, with hardly any compassion.
(2) Second Coming: didnt happen
during his generation as
he promised.
(3) Genealogy:
Compare Matthew and Luke -- both are the genealogies to Joseph, Jesus father (virgin
birth?),
not Marys. This also is a factor in the bible not being divine.
(4) (a) History: of Christ
-- mad and bloody deeds done in the name of Jesus Christ (Jesus said whatsoever
you do in the my name ..... ) .
Examples: bizarre debauchery and bloody deeds of vicious corrupt medieval Popes,
4 centuries of absolute madness during the crusades -- millions of Christians, Jews,
Muslims slaughtered or starved. 6 centuries of terror perpetrated by the Roman and
Universal Inquisition called "The Holy Office" (not abolished till 1965) --
countless
1000s imprisoned, tortured, burned at the stake. Censorship, imprisoned or martyrdom
of scientists such as Galileo, Bruno. Witch hunt mania. All in the name of Jesus Christ,
Son of God, and Savior of the World -- Done by Protestant and Catholic. Horror of
Jametown.
Nazis atrocities by Christian nations of Europe. Hitler in "Mein Kampf" refers
often to the
Lord and his abominations of the Jews.
This is the legacy and the relentless outcome of the core doctrines of Christianity
in all the different forms (all Christian denominations come from a common source
and believe in the same basic tenets) . Some blame these things on Satan working
in human beings (even in Holy Men), but they were still done in the Name Of Jesus Christ.
(4) (b) Proselytizing:
Historically persuasion with rack, sword and rifle. Paul laid down the
seeds of such
inhumane behaviour on the part of the Christian Church:
2 Thess. 1:7-9:
"And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed
from heaven with his mighty angels. In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that
know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall
be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and
from the glory of his power"
Now: it depends on being "one up" on the proselytized, who is usually
disadvantage
psychologically, socially, or economically, or else in a state of military subjugation.
This process never takes place between equals, it is always a case of "get em
when
theyre down". The smug missionary gloats when he wins another soul for Christ.
The televangelist derives more tangible financial rewards from predatory raids on
the lonely, the poor, the elderly, and the uneducated.
(5) Trinity: Is Jesus God?
Are the following true? 1=3, 3=1, 1=2, 2=1, 2=3, 3=2.
This is not a mystery, it is a falsehood to fool people.
According to the Bible the three are not equal, as claimed by the churches.
(6) Jesus is nowhere to found in the Old Testament.
(7) Jesus unfair justice.
Jesus proclaimed Hell to anyone who did not believe in him as being God.
Hell is a place of eternal flames and torture -- never ending.
(8) Many more issues on my website.
God:
{Remember many believe that Jesus is God}
(1) Suffering:
If God created the Universe and all that is in it, then he did not make
it perfect, at least not
for humans. Otherwise there would not be suffering -- genetic diseases, infectious
diseases,
natural catastrophes, death, suffering of innocent children , etc. etc.
This blame has to lie in God, not Satan. Satan was also created by God.
If God can see all things, he would have foreseen Satan, and not included him in Creation.
For plants and animals: Plants often dont need animals, such as mammals including
man,
but animals need plants. Herbivores dont need carnivores, but carnivores do need
Herbivores. It is better for the weak if strong do not survive. e.g. In catching salmon,
bears tear them to bits while this sentient creature is still alive and experiences it all
--
the same with the fish by an eagle. The way we live Earth may be like we might visualize
a heaven, but not so for other creatures (and for many other people).
A fish heaven would be where nothings eats them. The same with a given plant, etc.
Somehow to me this suggests a God that doesnt care about the sentient beings on
earth.
Suffering and pain, the Bible, and Jesus
(2) God of the Bible: many issues on my website.
Bible:
{the only source of information on Jesus}
(1) The brain is never mentioned. The heart, kidney, and bowel are the
centres
of emotion and cognition.
(2) Abortion is never mentioned.
Other issues:
(1) Abortion: Zygote is living, so are sperm and egg cells. These are
wasted naturally
in large numbers. The people that are anti-abortion, should they not protest this loss
too?
What about the natural abortion of most fetuses?
