On this Thanksgiving Day
I give thanks to the many people
that have contributed to society in spite of frailties they may
have or have had.
I give thanks to the farmers and gardeners, the related scientists,
the cannery workers and all the other workers that supply our
basic need for food.
This Thanksgiving
I give thanks to the scientists that have discovered
what we know of the universe. People like Kepler, Galileo, Newton,
Darwin, Einstein, Planck. Also all the many other famous and less
popular scientists that have shown the way to improve our life,
that have shown where we come from and where we are going and
the reality of things.
I give thanks to people like Thomas Paine, Robert Ingersoll,
C. Dennis McKinsey, Dan Barker, Pat Hutcheon, Farrell Till who
have helped us to see beyond our religious upbringing.
Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family, Hooge
