Tereus D. Scott MSc.

Tereus Scott holds a BSc. and MSc. in Computer Science from the University of Victoria. Currently he is an independent contractor specializing in wireless and GPS product development. .

Prior to this he was Senior Computer Scientist and Manager of Quality and Verification at Global Technical Engineering Solutions (GTES) in Vancouver B.C. which develops commercial wireless data infrastructure and Mobile GPS Location Tracking Systems. His research interests include Mobile Location Tracking, Wireless Sensor Networks, Communication Protocols, Software Test Automation and Software Metrics.

At GTES he and his team are responsible for overall product quality as well as the software development process for both the Wireless Messaging Products and the SHERLOC Location Service. He has been responsible for the design and implementation of several large scale two-way wireless network simulation systems for performance analysis, optimization and regression testing of the wireless data infrastructure, and performance characterization of Wireless GPS Tracking Devices.

Tereus joined the Glenayre Electronics Wireless Messaging Group in 1995 as a Product Verification & Support Engineer and became Team Lead for Test Tools Development and Test Automation in 1998. In 2001 Tereus became the Manager of Quality and Verification and stayed with the group when it was spun off as GTES in 2004.

Prior to joining Glenayre Tereus worked in several different software product development environments including working as a tester for software based medical devices and as a database programmer.
