Wichita is
known as "the air capital of the
world" because of the industies that have developed around
light general aircraft and business jets as well as components for
large commercial airliners.
Hot, wonderful parks, Arkansas river and the Keeper of the
Plains. That's what we found when we
arrived in Wichita. No sign of the Wichita lineman anywhere.
The Keeper of the
Plains, a huge statue on an island in the Arkansas
river highlights an area of
beautiful parks that line the river.
Peace and Social Justice Center of
South Central Kansas... (the Peace
House) was the location of our
Pastors for Peace Cuba Caravan public event.
