Taber resting. He spiked a fever prior to his birthday.

Unfortunately Taber had to celebrate his thirteenth birthday in hospital.

The oncology staff arranged for a birthday cake for Taber.

Gifts and cards were the order of the day.

May 15 2002:

Lung function test . This test was later repeated, doctors did not like the numbers.

May 15 2002:

Dr Barber checks the Chemo drugs before administering them to Taber.

May 15 2002:

Spinal fluid is withdrawn. It will later be checked under a microscope to ensure no remaining cancer cells.

Chemo is administered into the spinal fluid.

This is the machine they used to radiate Taber at the Cancer Center.

Taber spent an hour being measured for the radiation machine.

Staff place Datum marks on Taber's chest. These will eventually fade away.

May 24 2002:

Day 0.This is it! The bone marrow is infused into Taber. This takes two hours.

May 2002:

Taber's pole is getting bigger everyday. It now contains pain killer, food drip and various drugs and hydration fluids.

May23 2002:

The bag of Bone Marrow. The donor is refered to as MUD: Matched Unrelated Donor.

May 24 2002:

The second bag of Bone Marrow.

May 2002:

Day +8. Taber still wants to eat. Apple sauce is all his throat can handle.
