Grade 10-11 Parent Night
Grade 10 and 11 Parent Night is held by the school mid year to provide
information to parents about their students' course planning for their
grade 12 graduating year.
The
meeting
may address more than course selection, ie. raiseing
parents’ awareness of issues that would come up in the grade 12 year –
like post secondary education or volunteer program applications (if
any), costs (ie. post secondary applications (if any), official grad
events (optional tickets and clothes) and the infamous unofficial
pre-grad parties.
Also,
there
is a grade 12 parent session at the beginning of the school year
(often in conjunction with the students’ post secondary liaison day) to
provide further information to parents about their students’ graduating
year.
All grade 10-11
parents
and students are welcome to attend this informative evening.
Come prepared
with your
questions and we will try to answer them all!

PARENT NIGHT: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 2ND, 2010
Our Grade 8 to
11 Parent / Guardian Information Night is scheduled for Tuesday,
February 2nd, 2010, in the Drama Studio
and Auditorium
to provide information and assistance in Student Course Planning.
Course planning is a very important
process for
students and parents / guardians. The information is different in every
grade, so parents need to be involved
each year. At
the Grade 8-11 Parent Night, we will be distributing access codes so
that parents can go online to see
course sign up.

Parents
of students in Grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 are invited to attend a Course Planning
Information Evening on February 5th, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
The evening
will begin with a general information session in the Auditorium and
then the parents of Grades 8 and 9 students will move to the Drama
Studio while the parents of Grades 10 and 11 students remain in the
Auditorium.
Each group will receive additional information specific to their grade
level including the required and elective courses available, special
programs, and graduation requirements.

for next year. Portfolio requirements will be part of the
presentation
and there will be time for questions.
