This trip offers from the historic cattle point boat launch an opportunity to view intertidal aquatic life in its natural state. While navigating through the rock gardens you will experience tidal flows and enjoy learning about the various creatures that call this home. Some open water kayaking is also experienced with weather permitting.

Learn to Paddle
This adventure is designed as a instructional orientation and a new look at Victoria. While enjoying the historically rich upper harbour ,a sprinkling of certified instruction is added, as you paddle were you should, and appreiciate that this is a working harbor with a lot going on.. Demistify some of your fears with our certified guides while learning and having fun. All beginners are welcome to this tour, and all ages are welcome. Basic safety, emergency procedures, weather, paddle strokes,.and other entry level questions about kayaking,are covered on this trip . We begin the paddle in the sheltered waters of the Gorge water way and with no group larger than 5.
Tod Inlet
On this road trip we travel out through West Saanich farmland to arrive at Brentwood Bay. Where we launch and head to Tod Inlet, a natural marine park. With the backdrop of Butchart Gardens you explore these protected waters and discover the quiet surroundings. Lots of waterfowl and marine life here, two hours of bliss. There is a chance to go ashore and visit the native heritage site which is adjacent to the Gardens property.
Saxe Point to the Lagoon
This two to three hour adventure starts from Flemming Beach and heads along the coast taking in the small islands off Duntze Head across the open mouth of Esquimalt Harbor to Fisgard LightHouse and along the fortress of Fort Rodd Hill. The military history is rich through this area and you almost feel as if you are on a mission . Esquimalt Lagoon is also fun with the rip tides that ebb and flow out of it. Also a great beach for lunch before heading back. Weather permitting - not for novices.
