Open Access Environmental Health Journals
Introduction to OA Journal Lists
The majority of the open access journals summarized in the lists contained herein are also listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals, Public Health subject section. At the DOAJ site the information listed for each journal is restricted to Title (with hyperlink), ISSN, Subject (Public Health), Publisher, Country, Language, basic Keywords and Start year. Most of this information has not been reproduced here.
The descriptions given herein for each journal are synopses of the available information regarding their Aims/Missions, scope/content, and the databases that they are indexed in, if this information was provided in their homepages and any related pages. In a few cases journal information was not provided in English, and in these cases ‘Google Translate’ was used to obtain a rough translation. The summaries given are largely verbatim material from the journal homepages, although it is often greatly abridged. Unless otherwise stated, the journal’s articles are published in English. Most journals listed are fully open access, but for the few that are ‘Delayed OA’, the time period before papers can be freely accessed is given. Links are provided to each journals homepage. Some journals can be classed as a combination of Environmental, Occupational and/or Public Health, and in such cases they have been cross-listed in the appropriate lists.
