Step 2: find a donor van...

I found this one at Malahat Autoparts outside of Victoria on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada). Their prices are reasonable and the staff is very helpful.

Dismantle it (carefully bagging and tagging all cabinets and their components), and cut the roof off at the posts (all of it)...

Measure, trace and mark all the holes and places where the cabinets attach because you will have to drill these out on your van...

Four holes needed to attach back cabinet (arrows). The three larger holes are for air conditioning hoses.

Holes for fridge/stove propane gas lines (left) and sink drain (right).

Two of the three brackets needed to attach back seat (need to be pounded out and welded in). I still haven't done this.

Third back seat bracket and water tank drain hole.

Holes for propane vent (top), sink hose and water tank (middle), and power cord (bottom).
