INVOKING VENUS: FEATHERS AND FASHION will take place at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum at UBC. The opening night is Thursday, February 7, 2013. Additional events during the course of the exhibition will include lectures by fashion historian Ivan Sayers and an artist's talk/tour by Catherine Stewart. These will be posted on the museum website http://beatymuseum.ubc.ca later in January. Regular admission prices for the museum will apply after opening night for the duration of the exhibition. The Beaty Museum is a fascinating place through which to browse, so be sure to allow enough time to explore the other displays when you visit. INVOKING VENUS: FEATHERS AND FASHION is a unique exhibition that intersects natural science, visual art, classical poetry and historical fashion design.
