St. Mary’s Road United Church (SMRUC) is a lively congregation in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are a church that celebrates thought-provoking worship, ever-expanding children and youth programs, and active lay leadership. SMRUC has a proud tradition of offering three simultaneous worship services on Sunday mornings – traditional, contemporary, and children’s worship. Through these multiple worship paths and our small group ministry model, our community seeks to meet a variety of needs for Christian education, prayerful living, and connection with each other and the community. Based on our mission, we strive to “welcome radically, worship totally, hope stubbornly, love wastefully, and live intentionally.” SMRUC is a creative place that is open to new ways of doing things—there is an unstoppable call of the Spirit that keeps challenging us to move forward in the name of Jesus Christ.

SMRUC’s JNAC Report

Please read our JNAC Report for more information. Please note that the JNAC report indicates that our two existing appointments (Pastoral Care & Visitation Coordinator and the Children/Youth/Family Ministry Coordinator) will end in December 2012, with the new Rainbow Minister position beginning January 2013. At our congregational meeting to approve the JNAC recommendations, these dates were amended to indicate that both of the existing appointments will end in December 2011, with the new Rainbow position beginning on January 1, 2012. Since then, the Children/Youth/Family Ministry Coordinator position has been extended to June 30, 2012. The anticipated start date for the new position will begin August 1, 2012.
