Karl and Stephanie are creative people. Their home is full of projects, books, and tools. Stephanie is usually painting, carving, sculpting, sewing, or fixing something. Karl is usually working on some digital photos, debating atomic energy online, writing an article, writing a story, or if someone is looking for information on something, Karl will find it.

An example of Karl’s enthusiasm:

A former co-worker was eating an apple and he wondered aloud, "Why do they call it a Macintosh apple?" Moments later, Karl handed him a printout on the origins of Macintosh apples. The co-worker didn't even realize what it was at first. He had forgotten that he had even mentioned apples.

One day Karl was asked, "How do you look up things online."

Karl said, " Say, you want to look up the meaning of flowers..." (Example: If you give someone a red rose it means love. If you give someone a white rose it means innocence.) Karl typed in Flower Meanings in the Google search engine and clicked on the first site that came up, and there were the Meanings of Flowers. The person who asked was impressed. Karl explained, that it wasn't always that easy, and then told them that there are many search engines and that not one of those engines can find all the sites that are out there.

Karl says that an interesting way to find information online, if you are having trouble finding what you want, is to spell the thing you are searching for wrong.

There are so many sites out there, and typos are a way of life. You might find a perfectly good site, that didn't come up before, because it had a few spelling mistakes.
