A Bunny Wabbit

As I look at the Beanie Baby Floppity bunny rabbit, named Mr. Wabbit, I can't help but think what kind of rabbit he could have been. He is lilac in colour and soft as velvet. I can't help being in the dreamland of what Mr. Wabbit's life could be like...

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Stephanie who was sitting on a fence looking far away into the beautiful green pastures full of all types of colourful flowers that you can imagine. She was just like you, a sweet little girl, full of love and laughter. But that day, she was sad because nobody was around to play with her.

It was such a beautiful day, not too hot and not too cold. Just a perfect day to go for a walk into the pasture. So, Stephanie decided to go for adventure.

But, before she left the house, she had to pack some things into her knapsack. She packed a yellow apple, a chocolate chip cookie, a peanut butter sandwich and a purple grape drink into her purple knapsack. She put her favourite running shoes on and then she set off for the long walk into the pasture.

"The sun is out and what a gorgeous day it is," Stephanie thought to herself as she walked slowly through the luscious green grass. She walked and walked until she reached the middle of the pasture. Stephanie was getting hungry. The tummy started making lots of gurgling noises and she laughed.

"It's time for lunch!" Stephanie yelled, as if she told everyone in the pasture that there was food to eat. She found a beautiful cottonwood tree and sat down next to the trunk. She opened her knapsack and took all her food out of the bag and placed it on top of the bag. At the corner of her eye, she saw this beautiful, brown, floppy-ear rabbit staring at her.

Stephanie giggled for a moment, then asked the rabbit to come and eat with her. She offered half of her peanut butter sandwich to the rabbit. The rabbit seemed to know what Stephanie was saying and he came over to where she was sitting. He sniffed at the sandwich that was offered to him.

"Smells good, huh?" said Stephanie as she was eating the other half of the peanut butter sandwich. The rabbit made some noises and started eating the sandwich.

"Was that a good sandwich, rabbit?" she asked. She noticed that he finished eating the sandwich and wondered if he was still hungry. The rabbit made some noises and continued to stare at her.

Stephanie thought to herself, "He needs a name ... Oh, I know a good name! I will call him Mr. Wabbit!!"

"Do you like the name, Mr. Wabbit?" she asked the rabbit. He seemed to understand what Stephanie was saying and he made some noises as if he liked the name.

"Good!! Would you like the other half of my apple, Mr. Wabbit?" she asked excitedly. Mr. Wabbit sniffed at the apple and started biting into it.

After they finished eating, Stephanie decided to play hide and seek with Mr. Wabbit. Now, Mr. Wabbit loved to play hide and seek. She would count up to ten while he hid in different places in the pasture. Then Stephanie tried to find the rabbit. And oh! When she finds him she tickles him! They played and played until it was getting kind of dark and it was time to go home.

Stephanie was kind of sad because she did not want to come home. She didn't want to be lonely. She started walking towards her home and lo behold, here came Mr. Wabbit! He followed her to her house.

"Oh Mr. Wabbit, thank you for coming with me! Do you want to live with me?" she asked. Mr. Wabbit was making lots of noises, excited noises as if he was saying, "Yah, I would love to come and live with you!"

Stephanie opened the door and allowed Mr. Wabbit to come in. She was excited! She picked him up and give him a big hug. Of course, Mr. Wabbit didn't like that hug but he didn't care. He was so happy to have a companion to play with and to give love with. Stephanie went into bed and pulled her covers up. Mr. Wabbit followed her into bed and snuggled up with Stephanie. As soon as she was asleep, Mr. Wabbit gave Stephanie a kiss on her cheek. Smooch!!
