Country songs and practice tracks

This page has been designed for lead instrument practice tracks which means that you will only hear the rhythm part in the tracks. Please contribute by sending your tracks with no lead part to steelguitar2010@hotmail.com 

The tracks below are in Band-in-a Box and/or MIDI format only. You can play  these files on your computer and practice  the lead parts on the steel guitar or any lead instrument. 

If you have Band-in-a box, you can play them with that program as practice tracks or convert them to a WAV file and burn them on a CD which will play on any CD player. If you have a program that makes MP3 files, ou can also reduce them in size by about 10 to 1 from a WAV to an MP3 file, then burn them on a CD. You can put about 12 WAV files on a CD and about 120+ MP3 files on a CD! Then you can be really portable when you buy a little CD player (about $70 US) that plays both WAV and MP3 files and has a line output to go a power amp.

If you have Band-in-a-box, then you will most likely  have Power Track Pro. With this program, you can play any MIDI file and mute the lead part so that you can play the lead along with the rhythm! There are thousands of MIDI files on the internet that you can download. I use "Google" web site and enter the song that I am looking for then a space and type in MIDI after.
