FASHIONation
Great style can be found anywhere. You don't need the dollars to buy runway fashions from Paris or Milan. A little digging will reveal style finds in Zellers or Wal-Mart or at a local consignment shop or thrift store. So with all the fantastic pieces out there why is it the average Vancouverite is so drab? Personal style should be our answer to the grey pallor of the long rainy season with its short days and dull skies. But no. Vancouverites seem determined to blend in with the granite, the concrete, and the rain. A typical stroll through the downtown core turns up a depressing lack of colour and flair. The occasional exception is likely to be an Asian girl who was born in Hong Kong, Taiwan or Korea and has carried that influence with her across the ocean. These Vancouver street fashion photos are actually better than the norm, but I feel London street fashion kicks Vancouver ass.

Personally, I'm drawn to fashion that is inspired by or has a retro element...

But your style really doesn't matter. What matters is that you have a style (or 2 or 3). And no, a t-short and shorts is not a style. Sweatpants is not a style. An athletic jersey and a baseball cap is not a style. Maybe, like most people, you need a little inspiration (if not, have a look, anyway). Follow the links for fashion in Vancouver -
