There are over 250 horticultural societies in Ontario. You will have the opportunity to learn about many aspects of gardening and other related topics such as Home Landscaping, Organic Pest & Disease Control, Lawn Care, Trees & Shrubs, Perennials, Herbs, Houseplants, Flower Arranging & Design, Water Gardening, and many other interesting topics.

Through workshops and speakers, members are able to learn and share knowledge in a friendly atmosphere.

As a member of our local Horticultural Society you have the opportunity to receive our very informative newsletter, attend workshops, compete in flower & vegetable shows, attend district & provincial conventions, tour public & private gardens and create interest for others in the various aspects of gardening.

Membership Discounts:

Local merchants such as florists, garden centres, landscaping services and equipment rentals offer discounts to our members. This program is the only one of its kind in the province.

We participate in various projects such as plant sales, flower show & tea, plantings at The Lighted Cross on St. George’s Avenue, the United Way on Albert Street, and at The Rose Memorial Garden at Bellevue Park. For $20, you receive two brass plates in memory of a loved one on our placards displayed around the garden. For more info, call 946-3187.
