Well, I'll admit I had some big plans for this page, but after I traded "Preacher" (named for all the BE converts it made!) for an Autococker, I kinda lost the ambition to get into details of all the work I had done to it. But, I will tell about a few mods I did, and list all I did to this one. If you want any detailed info on some of the mods that were done, feel free to e-mail me.

Before I get too carried away, I want to thank Dave Brisco of the BE All Stars  and Dangerous Toys, Ron "Miscreant" Sondecker, and the guys from the RMOG. Thanks for all your info and patience for my endless questions. Without you guys, I'd have never got this far with it.

Now before I get started, a little history. I originally got a Rainmaker (RM) for the simple sake of something different than everything else that was out there. Out of the box, it worked OK but definitely not up to my standards. So, after several months of work (and I don't wanna talk about how much money!), here was the end results at it's prime:

Base:
'98 Rainmaker (bought new in 2000)
Single trigger
stock '98 board (considered the fastest stock board for the RM)
semi auto only

Accessories: <deep breath>
Diamond Labs Automag vertical ASA
XPBS "Super-Flow" hose kit
XPBS Thunder Bolt
XPBS NTDC bolt carrier.
XPBS SS Bolt link
XPBS SS screw kit
XPBS LP valve spring
DYE Gauge
DYE Sticky Grips
Warped Sports Macroline kit (x2)
Palmers Male Stablilzer (-/+ 5 fps on CO2.)
Shocktech Drop Forward

My mods:
4-AA to 9V (6V) power mod. External battery, mounted on to tank.
Bottomline and vert ASA: air holes enlarged and double drilled.
Vertical Feed cleaned up and re-mounted with Loctite Sleeve Retainer (This sucker's going nowhere!)
Home made MAC valve mount.
Rear Reg housing: gutted and drilled out (1/2" wide, about 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" deep). 4-hole mod on valve end.
Threaded end machined (thread size: "CGA 320") and capped with Aluminum CO2 thread protector.

The photo above gives you an idea of what it looked like after all the mods (almost). This pic was taken before I had the rear reg threaded for the thread protector. At the time I was using the stock reg Bell Spring Housing, with any holes sealed up. It worked pretty good with this, but I didn't like the housing in my face like that. Believe it or not, this is one of the only pics I've got of the RM. For some reason, I just never took many. It was either never complete, or not around when someone had a camera, and by the time it was complete, it was out the door! I do have e-mail contacts for a couple of guys who do more mods to the RM as well as some aftermarket accessories. I could have put more money into it to get more performance out of it, but I went as far as I was willing to go. I had set out to prove a point with it, and I did. Hopefully the next owner will have as much fun turning heads with it as I did.

I got flak from a few guys about selling it, but like I said, I set out to prove a point with it and I did.

It was definitely an original.
