Bob Long Defiant

I honest to God didn't know what the hell I was thinking when I bought this marker! Now don't get me wrong... in it's day, the Defiant was a decent marker. It's more or less a customised ICD Bushmaster with minor body milling and would take Cocker threaded barrels. The biggest drawback was that it was based off of the Bushmaster. ICD can't make a regulator to save their lives! I've only ever seen a few with stock regs that shot decently. One of the first upgrades for this marker was an adaptor that went in place of the stock reg so an aftermarket reg could go in it's place instead. Once that was taken care of, it shot decently for the most part. However, after having shot one of these (Bushmasters) in the past, I hated the trigger. Something about it just never felt right and I could never shoot quickly with it. Why I thought this one was going to be any different? I don't know. I picked it up for dirt cheap ($150) some time in '05 or '06 with the intention of having it around for a cheap electro if I ever felt like some speedball. But, I just couldn't get over the trigger. More my problem than the markers. Funny thing about the price, it shows how much markers devalue over the years. New Defiants probably sold in 2000 or 2001 for around $1000. Top of the line technology back then.
