AKA Excalibur

Of all the markers I've owned or shot over the years, I miss this one the most!

It was heavy by most people's standards, but it was a MACHINE! Never before or since, have I shot a marker as smooth as this one. Dual solenoids really do make a difference. It was kind of like shooting an Autococker with no kick and no backblock in your face. It was like butter, or as I like to affectionately say: It put the "oooooth" in "Smoooooth"! As I'm writhing this, I haven't looked at this picture in several years, and I'm taken back to some very fond memories of playing with this particular marker. The WAS board and eyes sure made a difference. I would have loved to try one with a Virtue board. They say it shot slower than the Viking, but it was only by a couple of balls per second. It was definitely smoother than the Viking (easily my second favourite marker). I only ever got about 14 bps out of it, but that was the shooter and not the marker. I've seen this one shot be someone with faster fingers than mine and it was incredible! I really can't say enough about it.

I found and old sale page I had made up for selling this, and here's a list of what all it had when I sold it:

- "Barbed Wire" Lazer engraving
- Mac Solenoids
- WAS Equalizer Board
- WAS Eyes
- Eye Covers
- Razorblade Trigger
- WAS Switch
- CCM Clamping No-Rise
- Stock LPR set to 72 psi.
- Spare #15 Urethane o-rings (a MUST have for your LPR!)
- Spare trigger springs
- Spare data port cover
- SS screw kit (not all screws installed yet)
- 32 Deg. 45 wrap-around grips
- Stock APP Grip pannels
- Sidewinder Regulator
- 12" Javelin barrel
- Spare Nelson board
- Warrior Sports Gear Gun Bag
- Manual on disk
- Max ROF (with eyes off) bumped up to 14 bps
- SCM LPR (not installed, needs to be warrantied by AKA, contact Dan Voils about this.)

This was the marker I was using about the same time I got out of playing tournaments. When I figured my hiatus was going to be longer than planned, I didn't see the point on sitting on a bunch of money (and I was starting to get into motorcycles), so I had sold it. The last owner I knew of it was the owner for Quest For Adventure in Edmonton. Unfortunately, his shop was broken into a couple of years ago and this marker was stolen. It's pretty unique and would be easy to identify. I hate to think if the thief just disposed of it, and it's wasting away out in the bush somewhere.

Now that i'm getting back into play, I'd love to own anothe one. I sold this one for around $1200 to $1400 around 2004. I've seen acid-wash Excals selling on forums for $300 to $400 these days (2010).
