Variety - The Children's Charity and Mission Raceway Park invite the members of your organization and their families and friends to the 2nd Annual Variety Show & Shine! Last year's inaugural event was attended by just under 100 cars and raised $1,500 for Variety - The Children's Charity! With your participation this year's show will be bigger and better with all proceeds once again going to benefit BC's children who have special needs.
WHEN: Saturday June 5th, 2004
WHERE: Mission Raceway Park, Mission BC
WHO: Car and Motorbike Clubs from across BC are invited to support the kids!
HOW MUCH: $10.00/vehicle, 100% of proceeds to Variety - The Children's Charity. Free admission for spectators to view Show & Shine and Car Club Drags.
WHAT YOU GET: ü Registration to Show & Shine. ü 2nd Annual Variety Show & Shine Pyrowear T-shirt to the first 100 drivers to register (a $20.00 value). ü 2nd Annual Variety Show & Shine dash plaque to the first 200 vehicles to register - sure to become a collector's item! ü Prizes to the top two vehicles in each class and for Best of Show. ü Access to view the Car and Motorbike Club Drags taking place on the track.
As part of the day's activities there will be: ü Raffle with some great prize draws! ü Engine Destroy Draw that could win you an all-inclusive one-week holiday for two at the Hotel Riu Cancun Mexico ü 50/50 draw! ü Venders, including Pyrowear, a new motorbike accessories company. Your Car or Motorbike Club could be on the Variety Show of Heart Telethon! Participating Car and Motorbike Clubs will be entered in a draw for the opportunity to have a representative participate in the 2nd Annual Variety - Children's Charity Show & Shine cheque presentation to be made on the Show of Hearts Telethon airing on Global TV in February 2005! GENERAL INFORMATION: 1. Move in/Registration - 8:00 am to 11:00 am, Saturday June 5th, 2004. 2. Display Requirements - All vehicles must be in place by 11:00 am. 3. Vehicle Location - The Show & Shine will take place on the grassy lot located on the south side of the Mission Raceway track. Exact vehicle location will be determined by management. To ensure grouping of vehicles we encourage your club members to meet before hand and arrive all together. 4. Judging & Awards - judging will be done by participants between 11:00 am and 1:30 pm. Awards to the top two vehicles in each category will be presented on stage at 2:30 pm. 5. Spectator Admission to Mission Raceway Park - For Saturday June 5th, 2004 ONLY admission to view the Car Club Drags and the Show & Shine will be FREE. 6. Participation in Car Club Drags - please note that the Show & Shine entry fee DOES NOT include racing in the Car Club Drags taking place on the Mission Raceway Park track on the same date. To register for racing in the Car Club Drags please contact (604) 826 6315. June 5th is just around the corner so please circulate the word to your Club Members. You may register at the gate or pre-register by calling Gio Festa at 604 268 3882 or 1 800 381 2040 toll free in BC as soon as possible. Only the first 100 drivers to register will receive a Pyrowear T-shirt and the only the first 200 vehicles receive a dash plaque, so sign up now!
