The preface and first 16 chapters of my book of the "History
of Lucca and Other Irrelevances" -- A sort of
History-Guidebook, being an opinionated chronicle with: a collection of
legends and other stories; some miscellaneous facts and scuttlebutt; a
few cartoons; a verse and a recipe...or two; and some ideas of what's
to
see; about... perhaps... Italy's most lovely city -- are available
if
you click here, for the contents and
synopsis. We will be adding a further chapter soon, plus a selection of
folksy tales, cooking ideas and other information. Feel free to
download each chapter, so to read offline, by clicking on the relevant
Chapter heading. The full hard copy should be ready soon--feel free to
review as well, please, I 'd like to hear your comments.
Enjoy, I hope? Regards,Philip

Hi and benvenuti, welcome to our website!
We have tried in the following pages not only
to give you as much information as we can about the Mulino
, but also a real flavour of Tuscany
and what it has to offer - there
are, for instance, over 120 photographs.
Thus you will find ideas of:
- where to go on days
out
- what there is to do
(eg. the beaches,the spas, etc...)
- where to find a good meal, whatever your budget
- where to find destinations
that you know about - The Leaning Tower perhaps? - and some that,
perhaps, you won't know about
- plus a number of useful
websites for you to visit, to help you plan the rest of your
holiday - including links to people, in other parts of Tuscany and
elsewhere, who offer much the same type of accommodation and welcome
that we do.
We hope that you will come and enjoy this lovely
place and allow us the privilege of being your hosts; if there is any
further information you may need, please don't hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Philip
