For those of you who visit this site but don't know about my wife, she had cancer.
We had delt  with it for about 4 years. She passed away on May 2, 2009.
I wanted to encourage you to check this site out. It takes seconds to do and it helps people.
The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free  (pink window in the middle). This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

of a reciet sent in by a fan whose family owned a music store .

Sept. 23, 2010 :  Have added a nice review from Mike Smith about meeting

                            HERE   thanks Kit

: A show review from the UK tribute band Trowerpowers guitarist
Mike Smith. I am expecting  some pix from him and a bit more info on
his experience. Mike does a great show and I had got him some passes
as he had never met Robin.  He also was allowed to hit the soundcheck
which I am interested in his experience. Thanks to Laurie for setting
                            this up.                                HERE

:  Added a page on the latest compilation three cd set from EMI.
I also had some pictures to add to the site so I put them on this
page for all to see                HERE

: The new CD from Robin Davey Glenn and Pete will be out
in December. They are currently doing a few cuts from it on the tour.
Watch the trowerpower site as some clips will be added soon.
One thing you can expect on the new release is that the lyrics will
be included in the package.  A couple of other surprises will be
mentioned once the release date is final. Watch TP for updates.

: The tour for the band in the US  (and maybe Canada) is coming
together. I have put up a page for the tour       HERE

Aug 27, 2010,  Well the band are now together and rehersing for the start of the next
tour in Europe and U.K. The set list will again be different this time
with the addition of three from the past and possibly a few from the
                            soon to be released cd.
: Robin did a great short interview that you can see on youtube
: Robin talks about Hendrix,  tribute bands ( the one he refers to
hearing about was my friend Mike Smiths TROWER POWER
band in the UK who do an amazing show of Robins classic songs
from the early years) and also a nice compliment to Alan Howard who
                            runs robintrowerlive.com.
: I encourage you to check his site out as Alan does an amazing job
and he will be covering and also providing this site with news and
reviews of the UK portion of the tour.
July 4, 2010 :  Well 2010 has been a huge change for me on a personal level.  Changes
have been numerous. Starting to go with the flow sort of and smiling
more now. Thanks to all my friends for being there for me.
While I am not as active here as I would like to be it is mainly because
I don't want to find myself sitting here all the time.  Things are changing
and I am trying to change with them. It's a new life for me now and will be
really curious to see how it goes.

I can tell you again that 2010 and 2011 will be bountiful for fans of
the RTB.  So many possibilities and projects are in the works.

Well we all know about the 2010  tour starting in Europe and finishing up
with a tour of the UK. I would suggest watching Alan Howards site
for his usual great reviews and pictures.
Also posted is the news of the U.S. tour in 2011.  More on this later.

....................

Check out some solo audio clips from our own Pete Thompson. Pete wrote and played most of the instruments you hear on these. Having known Pete for years I was surprised at his guitar playing. :o)  Some good tunes with different twists which I really like.

: Pete Thompson has been doing some indpendant work. Busy
in the studio doing most of the stuff himself. I have heard a few
roughs and I hope Pete can put something out soon so others
                             can hear it.

I also would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who emailed me about the Atlantic City trip story regarding Sue. I am such a lucky guy to have been fortunate enough to have met and become friends with so many people because of this site. And only through the draw of the music we share and the passion it fills us with, I would have never met such great people. My life is so much richer for having you all in my life. Thank you.

the support from fans and the band members alike. I would also like to thank
Robin, Davey, Dave and Pete for giving us such a great year with all
the shows and recordings that were released.  For me personally, my trip to
London would be very hard to top  (but maybe in 2006 I might try :o).

Dec 20, 2005 :  The feedback from the Paramounts reunion is starting to come in.
Will have a bit more on it later but got the following from Robin....
"Who would have thought that after 40 or more years it would be
possible that the original band would be standing on the same
stage playing the music and songs that brought us together in the
early sixties.  At first it was to be Gary Brooker and Mick Brownlee
and myself but at the last minute Chris Copping (the original bass
player) was able to come from Australia.  A few hours rehearsal the
day before and then in ----------  and there was definitely the odd
magic moment with Mick and Chris playing with real empathy and
Gary as powerful as ever on piano and vocals.
It was all great fun. "
                             Best wishes,
                             Robin
Dec 14, 2005 :   A little bit of rock’n’roll history will be made in Southend on Sea

for Club Riga, on the Saturday before Christmas, is sold out.
For more on this go to the Paramounts page.
I am hoping to get a story or two from the show and maybe a

Dec 12, 2005 :  A review from "Fuzz Magazine" in Sweden on the Live LOOT cd.
(Thanks to Chris Frances for the translation)
Review by Janne Stark / Fuzz Magazine, December 2005

ROBIN TROWER ”Living out of time – Live”
Robin Trower is one of the most prominent figures in the heavy bluesrock genre, and still going strong as a top notch guitarist.  Now he´s back with a new live album. I have to admit that I have quite a few live recordings with the man, but all the same this is a most welcome release.
I had the undoubtable pleasure of seeing Trower live at this summers Sweden Rock Festival. And I can assure you all that his concert was one of the very best throughout the festival.
He may look old these days, but he still has that glimpse in his eye and a never ending energy. And how well they have managed to capture that endless energy and his spirit to play on this platter. Of course we´ll get some of the old favourites such as “Day of the eagle” and “Too rolling stoned”, but also quite a lot of new material.
It feels as if he has found his way back to the sound of the golden era with tracks such as: “Sweet angel, What´s your name, Breathless”. Strangely enough this platter doesn´t feature Richard Watts on vocals who did an outstanding job at the above mentioned festival. Instead it is Davey Pattison (Gamma, Schenker-Pattison Summit) who handles the vocals. He was elsewhere busy when the band was in Sweden for the festival, but has since then returned to the band. The concert was filmed by German TV, and I hope it´ll find its way onto DVD.

Dec 8, 2005 :  Reflections of 2005   Here

:  I got a couple of pictures from the rehersal studio during the 2005 tour
and had a bit of fun with them.........  HERE

:  Speaking of the DVD,  an incredible piece of work.  Watching it was
honestly just like being at the show.  Even though it was only the
second show of the 2005 tour, the band seemed to be having a great
time and the performance was excellent.  Also  on the DVD is an
interview with Robin which is very interesting to hear.
Don't miss out ordering this.   HERE  TO  ORDER

Nov 10, 2005 :  The Renfrew Ferry show in Glasgow was unfortunatly cancelled at

transpired. Click here to go to TP to read his comments.
Very disappointing to the many fans who travelled many miles to
see the show.  Ray, Brian, Ronnie, Lisa, Laura and everyone else,
let's hope something can be booked in Glasgow before the end of
the tour.  Neil, good thing we didn't take that last minute flight!!

he always wanted to do, this was it) and more.... check the list.

that may end up on the set lists for this leg of the tour.

Oct 4, 2005 : The November leg of the tour is going to be quite different from
the first shows in the form of a set list change.  Look for
the band to showcase a number of older "classic" Trower tunes from
                           the 70's and 80's.
Since they will be working on the list of songs early Nov. I will hold off
with the song titles I have heard about but there were seven "classics"
                          mentioned.
With the limited number of shows in Nov (so far) I would suggest
getting your tickets asap.  These will go fast.
This will be a real treat for you in the UK. Two RT tours in one year
and two very different shows at that.
Sept 26, 2005 : A great story and comments from RT on the early days in Southend
from the PH site HERE  .... some great pictures also. (thanksRay)
Sept 25, 2005 : You can catch a video with TrowerBand alumni Alvino Bennett
in a rehersal with guitarist and effects wizard Mike Fuller ( owner of
Fulltone Effects which RT uses) on the Fulltone site
HERE.  Mike is a great player and if you haven't heard him yet
do check into his own cds.... some amazing stuff!
Sept. 13, 2005 :   I have had a bit of free time this week to go through numerous
files with pictures, articles etc. that I have received over the years
through the generosity of many of you who visit this site.  I have
added three pages to the pictures section.  I must apologize as I
have lost the book that I was keeping track of who had sent what
                                to me.
If you recognize any of the pictures ( I have a good idea who sent
them but of course I want to be sure :o) please let me know
that it was you who took them so I can acknowledge it.

First page is a few ads I have from the 1977 Japan tour and a few pictures. HERE

The next one  HERE    has more of Robin and Jimmy Dewar from the
August 20, 1973 Schaeffer Music Festival.

And the third addition  HEREhas a few pictures from
Avery Fisher Hall in  New York sometime in 1974

 more to come
Sept. 12, 2005 : Read an interview with Robin Trower by Bruce Madden on the
                              Experience Hendrix website   HERE
Sept 1,2005: Davey Pattison joined up with ex Doobie Brothers keyboardist
Dale Ockerman on Dales latest release " A Piece Of My Mind"
He did the vocals on two of the tracks. "Blues For Mother Nature"
and "Judgement Day" Also featured are Doobie Bros bassist
Tiran Porter.  Dale was also on Davey's solo cd's.
To order this cd go to Dale's site   HERE
August 31, 2005:  Check out the Dave Bronze newspage.  Dave is endorsing a
new amplifier by Markbass ( use explorer when linking) and he
is a featured artist on their site.
Dave also sent a picture you can check out (thanks Dave)
August 16, 2005 :  The new version or reworked Someday Blues cd titled
"Another Days Blues" should be available in September
                                   according to tp.
New songs and a different version of Go My Way will be very
interesting.  Besides remixing the results of Pattisons vocals and
Robins changes to the songs, Dave Bronze also recorded new
bass tracks on five of the songs.  This will be an entirely new CD.

:  I have redone the 2005 tour page with links to the 2nd leg
tour schedule and will post any new info there. I would suspect a
few song changes in the set list might happen with the new cd
                                  release.

:  Perhaps with the new album, maybe a live album from the tour,
a dvd coming out and  for the amazing support we over here in
North America have continued to show this band.... who knows
...... maybe in 2006  we will see them on this side of the  pond.

July 6, 2005 :  I have finially finished the write up on my trip

June 4, 2005 : Sources for this site (thanks Pat) have advised an advertisement for
a show in NOVEMBER  in Dartford , Kent. This has not been
confirmed by management, and no mention of what the line up is yet
but this is good news for fans in the UK who did not get to see a show
on the first go round.  Hopefully more show dates will come up.

Brother Dale Ockerman (who played on Davey's solo albums) and
he is coming out with his own cd in the next month or so and Davey
is doing two songs on it ("Blues For Mother Nature" and Judgement
Day") along with DB bassist Tiran Porter.  This will be a good one

Robin Trower
"Living Out Of Time"
* * * *   (four stars)
Trower has to be one of this countries most underrated blues rockers, even after four decades.
Of course, one thing you can't escape after that sort of time spent playing is a serious level of feel, and his latest album drips emotion and sheer tone. Vocalist Davey Pattison does a great job in complimenting Trower's gutsy style and, although the bluesy stuff is occasionally tired, the consumate ease with which it is played can't fail to inspire. The Hendixian Please Tell Me is the pick and if Robin is a new name to you, get this and become a convent.
Standout tracks, Another Time Another Place and Please Tell Me.
( thanks to Pat Hackett for sending this in )
