Transportation from the Calgary International Airport
We suggest that you take an airporter service from Calgary to Banff instead of a taxi, it will be much more cost efficient. Rocky Mountain Sky Shuttle www.rockymountainskyshuttle.com runs an hourly shuttle service. If you visit their website you will find a coupon for 10% off your ride. The Banff Airporter www.banffairporter.com also runs an hourly service.
Rental vehicles are available at the Calgary airport and in the town of Banff depending upon the company. You can find a listing of companies here
A block of rooms has been set aside at the beautiful Banff Park Lodge where our reception will take place. The special room rate at the Lodge for the Glendon-Daykin Wedding is $225.00.
Individuals are required to reserve their guest room with a reservation agent using the Lodge's toll free number 1-800-661-9266. Please mention the wedding at the time of reservation for the special rate. All guests must be advised that check in time is 4:00pm . Check out time is 11:00am
You may notice that on a map the town of Canmore is fairly close to Banff . Canmore is in fact 20-25 minutes away from Banff . If you are not renting a car the cost of a taxicab between the two towns is quite expensive. If you are renting a car and plan to drive between the two towns please keep in mind that there will be alcohol present during the weekend events and drinking and driving is illegal. Driving on the TransCanada Highway after nightfall is NOT encouraged as it does run through the National Park and animals may be on the road.
