"Sandy had an eye for a straight furrow. He was an excellent carpenter, and an intelligent conversationalist. As a young man he sold his farm and travelled to BC where he worked in the shipyards for a short time. In 1918 Sandy and his brother Jim bought Lake Louise Farm. Sandy lived on E1/2 Sec 14-1-2E. The eight children were all born at Lake Louise Farm. They attended Dufferin School and Emerson Collegiate. Sandy retired from farming in 1944 and moved with Lorraine and family to Emerson.
