Amy was one of the founding members of the school. She has been dancing for 13 years consecutively and teaching for eight. Shan-e-Punjab has not only been a place where she has developed her artistic talent but also has been an outlet for her to explore her creativity. It has given her a sense of community and belonging. She believes everything a person experiences in life ultimately contributes to the person they become. She says, and I quote, “I am who I am today because of the positive impact Shan-e-Punjab has played in my life. Not only have I gained leadership skills but I have also built comradery amongst fellow team members. Overall, I feel I have gained a sense of purpose in life. My sincerest thank you goes to my sister for sharing this gift (Shan-e-Punjab) with me.”
