The biggest change between now and style 3 is the use of LED technology that allows arrows and pedestrian signals to occupy single sections. Relatively speaking there aren't very many signals with this design, because the city's Traffic Control Policy Manual stipulates that left turn signals should be on a pole in the median if possible, so in effect you'll only see a new signal like this on an undivided road.
