This particular assembly is not a very common sight outside the downtown core and surrounding area. Outside of downtown, 8-inch signals in this style are usually only seen buried deep in residential areas; 12-inch signals are far more common. With style 3 signals, pedestrian signals now used symbols instead of text. As well, this represents the last style in which 8-inch arrows were used, except for downtown.
