Like the 12-inch signals, this style of assembly also had oversized backplates, although not as pronounced. As 12-inch signals were still fairly new at this time, this sort of 8-inch assembly was fairly common. Like the other style 1 and 2 animations, this is inaccurate because the pedestrian signals should be text, not symbols.
