Following in the footsteps of Edmonton and Banff, Calgary is now testing pedestrian countdown signals with the possibility of wider use. The test signals are found downtown on 1 Street at 6 Avenue SW (only those parallel to 1 St have the countdown; along 6 Ave it is only the usual hand/man). Each ped signal has a sign beside it indicating that the signals are being tested and inviting people to call the City with their thoughts.
