This is the part of my page with all the stuff that I felt was worthy of being on my webpage, but couldn't really find a suitable place on any of the other pages.

Astronomy Picture of the Day - this is a part of NASA's site that features a different picture every day, often quite spectacular, relating to the celestial world all around us, for example a satellite's view of Earth, or a telescope's view of some distant world. You absolutely must go to this site, especially if you have a few hours of spare time on your hands. The Archives go back to June 16 1995, so there are well over 2500 images to oooh and aaah at, and they all come with a detailed caption explaining what they are. You may even be like me and find a particularly stunning image to use as your desktop

ICQ - for all of you who are wondering just what the hell ICQ is, it's a chat and instant-messaging program you can use to find and talk to people around the world (the name ICQ, as you may have guessed, is from "I seek you"). This is my favorite such program; I have made many good friends through ICQ, some of whom I have gotten very close to, and have even gotten to meet some of them in person, which is a really cool experience.

sixdegrees (site closed) - this site was designed to show you just how close you are to everybody else in the world, based on the belief that everybody is within 6 degrees of everyone else. For example, if you know person A, and A knows person B, and B knows person C, then you are within 1 degree of A, 2 degrees of B, and 3 degrees of C. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to me, the site had to close its doors at the end of the year 2000.

Sizzling HTML Jalfrezi - this is an extremely useful site for beginning to learn HTML, the language used to create webpages. When I was designing both my current and previous homepages, this site served as a very helpful reference; many of the snazzy little tricks I learned were from here (you will be surprised to learn how incredibly useful tables are).

Funky Chickens HTML Help! - this is also a place where you can learn HTML; somebody recently showed it to me, but I haven't really checked it out too closely yet.

What's in YOUR name? - this is an interesting little website; it tells you about your personality based on your first name, similar to how your horoscope describes you based on your birthday. And also like a horoscope, it seems pretty accurate too.

Digital Clock Showroom - you probably noticed that there are digital clocks at the bottom of each section of my homepage; this is the Java applet I used to use for them. The clocks you see now are run by JavaScript; I made the switch because of inconsistencies in how different systems interpret time zones. The JavaScript clocks have solved that problem, and have also allowed me to put that battery of clocks on my main page, which I think looks pretty cool This Java clock is still very good though. I have a few scoreboard-like digit designs; if you want to see them then just ask.

Kurumi.com - home of the SignMaker, one of my favorite online toys. The SignMaker was used as a base to make the road signs you see scattered over the various parts of my page, such as the ones below. The guy who made the java applet did one hell of a job on it, because these signs look very realistic. (NOTE: some modifications to the signs were made by me in order to obtain the appearance seen on my pages, for example, the applet only comes with US federal and state highway route markers; I used the markers from the Highway Route Markers page for my signs.) I recently started making my own signs from scratch, rather than using Signmaker as a base, because of greater flexibility. The sign below based on the Signmaker is on the left; my original is on the right.

Roadgeek Fonts - if university has taught me anything, it is always cite your sources. The roadsigns I made on my own used the fonts on this page, by Mike Adams. That is, both the page and the fonts are by Mike Adams. He made them to simulate the fonts used on actual highway signs, which he did pretty well.
