         Pacific Standard Time

Stressed? Worn out? Tired of real life and just need to get away? Well then, why not play a game!

At least that's been my theory for all these years as I wasted my good free time to  play 'em. Now lately, with family, work etc. the time to play has lessened, not to mention, it's damn near summer, and out come the rollerblades again!  I figured I'd give some examples of what I've played online over the years, no no particular order...

The games I've played:

 The Oldies
 Doom
Wolfenstein
Quake
Half-Life
Unreal
Battlefield
Coming soon

The Oldies

 Old, just like me.

Let's just say I was pretty much there from the beginning, too young to be developing them, but old enough to play them! I won't bore you with all the titles, but I'll list a couple, and hop into F.P.S. My favorite type of game, by far.
Pong, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Galaga, ,Asteroids, Bagman, Berserk, Excite bike, Mario Bros. black widow, bobble bobble, Burger Time, Ice Climber, Gorf.... And jeez! About a thousand more.... Oh my gawd! How many Quarters did I use in my life?!?! Good thing for Mame's...

Hey... they're even online in flash, just click here..

Doom

The one, the only, what got me addicted to F.P.S!

Yes! It's Doom, Sure I played it before, but when it went to 3-D OMG! Hooked for life... so real! So... well... It was once. Now it's a free download. I linked the song, because it still gives me Goosebumps.

Of course, there's also Doom 2 and 3 as well to this series, all great games in their own right.

Doom Music (Intro) **A Remix I think.
Feeling Nostalgic? Why not Download it and play.
Or go to the Dos archives.
Or for more info, planet Doom.

Wolfenstein

Didn't like it as much as Doom, but still a favorite!

Yup, played 'em all, loved 'em all too. Wolfenstein just never had the same feel as Quake, COD, or Battlefield, nor Half-Life for that matter. (Once they became an F.P.S.) Not sure why, maybe I'll have to dust it off and try again soon.. Of course, there's always:

The Girls of

Castle Wofenstein.

Or, go to the Planet Wolfenstein site for more info.

Quake

Still ranks as my favorite, right after Battlefield.

Before Quake, most games were single player, but now.... holy crap! I can play against anyone on an intranet! And the soon to be Internet?! OMFG! Awesome... woo hoo and all that.. **I have not played Quake 4 as of yet.

Yes, This is where I 1st discovered online gaming at it's best! Quake Team Fortress! I was very...very... addicted to Quake, for way too long to even go into detail. Phear my rocket jump biotches!

Go to Planet Quake for all the info you'd need, and more.

Half-Life

Arguably the best series of games, and Mods ever.

Need a game with a Gazillion mods? That would be Half-Life... Yes, have, and played them all... I always sucked, and tended to swear a lot, and call HAXXORZZZZ!!!!! Way too often. A couple Mice have fallen to the ground (Or actually onto my wall at the speed of sound) thanks to this game. I found box pictures, but I swear I always downloaded these games.....Legally of course, through that Steam...ing pile of.....

Naming some... Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift,Condition Zero, DOD,TFC, Counterstrike, HL2, CSS, DODS,  Death match Classic...and about a thousand maps, mini mods, and uhh.... Barney the Dinosaur.

WHERE'S TF-2 !!!?!?!

**Not my mice or keyboards, they're just added for dramatic effect.

Unreal

A great series, right from the demo...which is still available.

Loved this series right after the demo, the cap the flag aspect was really fun, and the "Killing Spree" made for a great game. Again, lotsa mods: Thanks Planet Unreal, for the cut & paste. you can still get the demo from there as well.

Chaos UT - Awesome mod with lots of new weapons!
 Excessive
- Insane weapons mod.
 Godz
- A cool futuristic fighting game.
 Infiltration
- A squad-based tactical mod.
 Operation Na Pali
- A great single-player UT mission pack.
 Rocket Arena: UT
- It's Rocket Arena for UT!
 Strike Force
- Realistic team combat simulation.
 Tactical Ops
- Formerly known as SWAT.
 Unreal4Ever
- Home of the world-famous U4E and U4E Fortress!

Battlefield

I'm tossed between Quake and BF1942 for my all time fav's.

Coming Soon!

Quite literally the most patched game ever in the history of videogames, I became hooked the day that the wake Island demo was out. Have purchased every version, and loved many hours of great game play. For game time to dollar, I have received my monies worth.
For BF2, it may be a computer speed issue, but I'm now 2 patches behind, and don't really care.... I have SF, and feel the same I love the game, but not like BF1942. I think I'll feel the same for 2142.

Oh yeah, there's a mod or 2 out for it as well, all able to be found on Planet Battlefield.
