KEN PERRY'S WHEELING AND DEALING JETS

Spokane had some wheeling and dealing to do before the year started as they were over the cap. And boy did they do some wheeling and dealing!!!! Nobody was safe on the roster and by the time they were done they had a terrific roster.

The Jets currently lead the Broten Division with 10 wins and 3 losses, with an impressive 4-2 record on the road. They are led by three offensive dynamos up front. Corey Perry is their leading scorer after 14 games with 8 goals and 6 assists. Second on the club is young offensive stud Claude Giroux who has 5 goals and 7 assists. Third on the club in scoring is sharp shooter Patrick Sharp, who has 4 goals and 7 assists . One player not yet scoring to his potential is Ryan Kesler who has only 3 goals and 5 assists after 14 games. Kesler you remember was traded by the Jets and then reclaimed in a deal to bring him back to Spokane all in the same summer.

On the defensive side the Jets have one of the best young goaltenders in the NHL in Carey Price. Price leads the Jets defensively but also has a lot of help in front of him from great puck mover Dan Boyle and Dennis Seidenberg. When it comes to blocking shots and take aways they have defensive dman Greg Zanon.

This club boasts two pretty good scoring lines and lots of depth on the back end, which will make them favorites to win the conference and take a run at the league banner in April.

Keys to their success Carey Price leads the defense, Corey Perry leads the offense.
