The newer generation of Beijing trolley-bus
is represented by this model BJD-WG120A rigid trolley coach. Submitted by Zachary

Model BJD562D 85077 on route 102 in
Beijing.19 JA 2000. Route 102 now has a small unwired section on Xi-Dan St.

Model BJWG120 on route 115. This particular
model is capable of off-wire operation, it was initially designed for routes
that crossed the Chang-an Blvd. (Avenue of Eternal Peace), in which off-wire
operation would be necessary, route 115 however, does not require any off wire

Beijing trolleys and buses seem to have their own lane, which makes it possible
for them to run on the expressway. The trolley on the lower deck be on route
105 or 111. The trolley on the upper deck must be on route 107. Photo by John

"The Race." Three Beijing
trolleybuses on Changan Ave. which has no overhead wires. The two in the foreground
are racing to the traffic lights.The trolleys use batteries. The artic in the
foreground has a crew of 3 - driver and two seated conductors. Some one-person-operated
trolleybuses exist in Beijing, newly introduced on route 111, considered to

Beijing trolleybus u-turning on
battery system in front of the Beijing main railway station. There are no wires
here. Look carefully at the photo; at the far right beyond the taxis you can
see part of the huge crowd of people on the station plaza, this is normal at
just about any time of the day; also, the footbridge beyond the yellow CNG bus

Beijing trolleybus model BJWG120 85892 with air conditioning.
This is the only air-conditioned trolleybus in revenue operation in Beijing.
etrofitted with a huge Thermo King air-conditioning. It is waiting at Wu-lu-ju
