Start with a servicable, but boring sweater.

Change the buttons, and add some more.

Now stitch out some pocket covers from the Button On Frames III set.(button design inside hearts is from Amazing Designs Hearts for all Seasons by Nancy Zieman. For a finishing touch, add a pin from the Pins Plus II - Seasonal set.

For this jacket, a more subtle approach was desirable - the buttons are almost invisible so the jacket can be worn alone.

The pocket covers here (from Button On Frames I and III) were done with back pockets so that the buttons are completely invisible. The peacock is from Criswell's Special Effects II. The snowflake pin and flower closure are from the Pins Plus II - Seasonal set.

Here is another set of pockets, using the cat face from Button On Frames II - Fun Shapes, and cats from Bernina's Fantastic Felines collection. And of course a pin from the Pins Plus I - Basic and Fun Shapes - with dangling beads that say "I (heart) cats".
