Important Information
Please make sure you read this section
as it contains very important information for you.
****Please note that Bar-V-Nok does not have bathroom
access in the cabins during the winter months. The water is turned off
during the winter months to prevent the pipes underground from freezing.
There is a centrally located shower house available and there is a
bathroom in the main lodge area.*** What to bring?
Bar-V-Nok Resort is a very rustic and quaint
place.
Please make sure you bring a
sleeping bag,
folding mattress/air mattress for the
beds.
Here is a list of
items we recommend that you bring from home to ensure your scrapbook retreat weekend
is a fun
and relaxing experience:
-
Sleeping foam or air mattress
to place on top of your
bed.
-
Sleeping bag
and/or extra blankets to keep warm at
night. No bedding is supplied for any
of the rooms.
-
Pillow(s)
-
Towel and face cloth
-
Comfortable clothing.
You may want to dress in layers just as
the room temperatures may vary.
-
Light sweatshirt
to keep you warm.
-
Pajamas and slippers
for our Saturday night pajama party.
The party will begin after the late
night snack and beyond. This is
optional.
-
Seat
cushion,
the chairs may get hard after a few
hours of sitting.
-
A camera
to take lots of pictures of your friends
(new and old) and their layouts.
-
Ear
plugs
to wear at bed. The rooms are not sound
proof. You may hear people in the
bathroom or coming and going throughout
the night/morning. If you think this
will disturb you, please bring along a
set of ear plugs.
-
Cash, cheque book and/or credit cards
to shop with our vendors and to
pay for your pampering sessions.
-
Extra snacks and drinks.
We will provide some drinks and most
meals, but if you would like to bring
munchies and favorite drinks (e.g. pop)
please feel free to do so. There are
fridges available to put your drinks
in. Make sure you label your stuff.
-
Alcoholic beverages,
if you wish.
-
Travel mug
to keep your hot drinks hot.
-
Re-usable water bottle
- there will be a water cooler in the
hall for you to refill your own water
bottle. If you tend to drink more than
6 bottles of water in a weekend, please
bring along some extra bottles from
home. We try our best to bring enough
water for the weekend however this is
hard to judge as each retreat is
different. Thank you for your help.
-
Hiking shoes.
There are many beautiful walking
trails. This is a great way to take a
break from scrapbooking.
-
Supplies for Cricut machine:
There will be a Cricut
machine available to borrow. If you would like to use
these machines, please make sure you
bring your own sticky mat. We will not
have these mats available for purchase
at the retreat.
