Watch Out for Pirates!
buccaneer_sampleLO.jpg
Details: This project will be suitable for any variety of buccaneer-flavored photographs regardless of age or gender, and would also compliment more specific themes such as boating or sailing, Halloween pictures, children brandishing a plastic sabre or...anyone recovering from eye surgery. (My sister likes this idea...she wanted a funky eye patch, though!)

Which Witch is Which? [Halloween]
witch_sampleLO.jpg
Details: This project will complement subjects of all ages and genders, but would be specifically suited for cards, Halloween crafts (treat bag labels), and scrapbook pages featuring activities related to the occasion: trick or treating, costumes, parties, etc.

These Shoes [Sneakers / Marathon / Jogging / Fitness]
sneakers_sampleLO.jpg
Details: ...Specifically suited for joggers and marathon participants, fitness-oriented themes and alternative observations regarding parenting (depending on content)...and maybe even for the dog that chews shoes! The title could easily be split or modified with the addition of other phrases/words to complete more specific reference to a subject. (Use rub-ons, alphabet elements, chipboard, stickers, etc to add to the phrase if desired:) "A Mile In These Shoes", "Take a Walk In These Shoes", "Where Have These Shoes Been?", "These Shoes Looked Better Than They Taste!" (Bad Dog!), etc

Easter Bunnies [Eggcentric Behavior]
eggcentric_sampleLO.jpg
Details: ...Suitable for subjects of all ages and genders, cards, Easter crafts, and scrapbook pages featuring activities related to the occasion: egg coloring, hunting for eggs, etc. The elements might also complement phrases like "Happy Hunting", Spring/seasonal themes, "I'm so eggcited!", "Hopping with Excitement", "You crack me up!", etc.

Ski Bunnies / Winter Sports [Toboggan, Snowball fights, Skiing]
downhill_sampleLO.jpg
Details: ...Perfect for accommodating any form of winter sports; skiing, toboggan or sled rides, snowboarding, snowball fights, building snowmen, shoveling driveways ...(OK, I know that's not REALLY a sport, but it does kind of suit the downhill description for other reasons. *grin*) There is an alternate bunny in this download: he has no ski paraphernalia, so he can easily be modified. Placing a white paper snowball in his paws prepares him for a fight or building snowmen. Adding ear muffs, mittens, boots or a ribbon scarf would personalize his appearance. Alternative titles that might suit this project will depend on content, but the potential list is long. Snow Bunnies, Hit the Slopes, Powder, Ski Patrol...etc.

A TON of Love! [Valentine / Romance / Elephant]
ton_sampleLO.jpg
Details: ...Specifically suitable for Valentine's Day celebrations, but could be scrapped to accommodate loved ones of ALL ages and genders, friends, family, stuffed animals and pets. (Okay...don't quote me about the fishy variety!)

Fun...It's a State of Mind! [Silly frogs!]
frogfun_sampleLO.jpg
Details: Project will accommodate a huge variety of non-specific subjects/photographs. Also included is the pre-formatted comment shown to the right of the second page, which may suggest additional titles or uses. Sibling interactions/rivalries, general family humor, friends and family photos will complement these pieces. Alternate titles which might suit these characters, depending on content: "Putting the FUN in dysFUNctional!", "Welcome to my pad!", "Time Flies" (Add bug brads or punch shapes), etc.

The downloaded pages are meant to be printed UNRESIZED on 8.5x11" sheets with the unprinted gutter trimmed off. What can you do with prints...?
  • Scrapbook page elements, templates, greeting cards, craft projects, gifts, etc.
  • Before cutting each piece out, if you prefer a sharply defined edge, consider using an acid free black marker to outline the pieces.
  • For more dimension after cutting elements out, foam or glue dots may provide a little "lift" where desired. Printing particular pieces twice to "layer" elements with a pop-dot or foam tape also contributes to a more dimensional appearance.
  • OR...prior to cutting, (if you're confident that your scissors are sharp enough and your hand will survive the effort..!) consider using an adhesive to glue the entire sheet to the back of a cardboard or chipboard sheet. (A cereal box might even do the trick!) A small black ink cube or STAZ-ON ink applied around the outside edge will finish off the "raw" edge nicely and add dimension.
  • If you decide to print the title on a transparency, consider filling the lettering on the reverse side of the printed sheet so that the letters are opaque! I used a white opaque paint marker to do this, and was REALLY suprised by the result! It worked well and was a relatively simple way to achieve the look of a title on transparency without having background elements show through the printed piece.
  • If you have never used crystal lacquer or diamond glaze before...it's also GREAT for "sealing" a printed image and adding dimension. Apply LIGHTLY to a printed sheet with a wide soft bristled brush. NOTE: this technique can also improve the appearance of printed elements so that the colors appear more similar to the original pieces! (If you print on Photo Paper, this is NOT recommended.)
  • A bit of glitter or a metallic pen applied to specific areas can contribute to the appearance. Using colored lacquer, dimensional media, ink or embossing powder to add raised areas will also make elements more appealing!
Downloadable / printable elements include an instruction text file and a sample layout (as shown above) for reference. Each character / element has been reproduced at full size. Additional elements which appear in the ORIGINAL listed collection but DO NOT appear here are not included. Characters and content included here are products of my own imagination.
