Welcome to Scoutlook
ScoutLook is an annual week long wilderness summer camp for Scout aged youth (11-14) who would like to experience back country camping.
The camp opens on the first Sunday after Manitoba's August long weekend and runs until the following Sunday. Scoutlook operates out of Scouts Canada's Alloway Wlderness Reserve on the shores of the Big Whiteshell Lake in Mantioba's Whiteshell Provincial Park.
The camp is focused on developing the youth's back country camping skills that includes canoeing, cooking, water treatment, first aid, knots and lashing, equipment use, maps, GPS and Leave-No-Trace outdoor ethics.
Due to the physical demands required to participate in the various Scoutlook activities, the camp is restricted to Scouts who will be at least 10 years and 6 months old at the start of the camp.
Scoutlook is also an opportunity for Venturer and Rover Scouts to provide Offer of Service as Youth Councillors, Activity Leaders and in Camp Operations.
