SUBMARINERS
ASSOCIATION
OF CANADA
West

Welcome to our Home Page

Welcome to the Submariners Association of Canada West web site.  Our Association was founded to provide an opportunity for persons who share a unique background as Submariners to meet in fellowship.  We are a non-profit International Organization and have members from across Canada and abroad.

We are based in Victoria, British Columbia, where we meet once per month.  We attend local annual Memorial Ceremonies and Services, Naval Commemoratives and functions, and provide financial assistance to Veterans Groups and area Sea Cadets.

We publish an informative monthly bulletin plus maintain an e-mail distribution list for our members, along with the annual hosting of our Summer BBQ & Horseshoe Tourney, mid-Island Meeting and Christmas Luncheon.

During 1993, 1997, 2003 and 2008, we hosted Gatherings and Reunions of Submariners from all parts of the world.

During May of 2011 we commemorated the 50th Anniversary for the Commissioning of HMCS Grilse SS71, and during 2014 will celebrate the Canadian Submarine Service Centenary.

We are indeed an active organization!

Our membership criteria is simple - any person designated 'Qualified In Submarines' according to the requirements of the Navy in which they served may join our Association.

If interested, our membership details, plus downloadable application form, can be viewed by following our 'How to Join' link below.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us and we trust you will find our site interesting.
