FEATURED STUDENT
Our school
includes many
"Sandalwood Trees" - people who have wonderful inner virtues but who
do not outwardly call attention to themselves; they are people of
action, not
words. Fitting the role of a Sandalwood
tree, perfectly, is Rob Matson.
Throughout his
learning and growing with us, Rob has constantly been
giving. He has found many ways to
contribute to our school, to his fellow students, in the dojang and
out, and he
has sought no personal recognition for it.
Rob's calm demeanor and
soft
spoken manner mask the passion for Taekwon-Do that lay within him,
including a
relentless dedication to excellence in our art and a growing interest
in
competition. It is also obvious that
Rob won't let anything slow him down or deter him in the pursuit of his
goals.
Rob
is our 9th featured student, a distinction
that is frankly well overdue. His kind face has been a constant
at
Sandalwood for a long time now, and we are all the better for it.
We
prize his heartwood, indeed, and we are grateful for his presence.

Inspiration
is often drawn from
historical figures, or from
people who are considered to have accomplished great things. Also, when
witnessing excellence, it is easy to be more impressed by the
culmination than by the incredible journey, or the great effort, that
lead to it. However, the struggles and achievements of our fellow
martial artists, whatever their size or status, should not be
overlooked as they can be the source of great inspiration.
Sandalwood
Martial Arts is
pleased to recognize the
endeavours and accomplishments of its students. This page is dedicated
to acknowledging their notable efforts and successes. We have numerous
students worthy of such notice, so visit often to see who is featured.
