FEATURED
STUDENT
Sandalwood has a strong
family feel, and this connection even extends beyond those that train
in our
dojang. As such, we wish to recognise the efforts and commitment of not
a
student, but someone who has been an integral part of one of our
student's
training. That someone is Gloria Chase. Instead of praising her role
ourselves,
we felt it fitting to let Daryl put it into his own words:

"My
grandma has been bringing me to Taekwon-Do ever since I
started four and a half years ago. I was surprised when Niilo and
Albert came
to me and said that my grandma would be the next featured person of
Sandalwood.
However, I thought to myself that this would be a great way to show my
appreciation of what my grandma does for me since it's hard to do so
when
you're not good at saying what's inside. Taekwon-do has been really
important
to me, and this makes my grandma's help even that much more essential
in
maintaining my training. Anyways I am honoured to have my grandma
picked to be
the new featured person of Sandalwood, and I would like to thank her
for all
the work she has done to make it possible to be at Sandalwood over the
years.
You deserve it, Grandma!"

Inspiration
is often drawn from
historical figures, or from
people who are considered to have accomplished great things. Also, when
witnessing excellence, it is easy to be more impressed by the
culmination than by the incredible journey, or the great effort, that
lead to it. However, the struggles and achievements of our fellow
martial artists, whatever their size or status, should not be
overlooked as they can be the source of great inspiration.
Sandalwood
Martial Arts is
pleased to recognize the
endeavours and accomplishments of its students. This page is dedicated
to acknowledging their notable efforts and successes. We have numerous
students worthy of such notice, so visit often to see who is featured.
