Entry

ALL FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES.
E-MAIL ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED THE SAME AS REGULAR ENTRIES AND PAYMENT MUST BE MAILED
WITHIN 24 HOURS.
All cheques or
money orders should be made payable to The Southern Alberta Calgary Cat Fanciers
Association.
No post-dated cheques will be accepted; a fee of $25 will apply to any cheque returned
NSF.
No entry fees will be accepted at the door.
Benching will be refused for non-payment of fees.
There will be a $10 substitution fee and a $12 surcharge for all entries phoned in.
Overpayment will be considered a donation to the rosette fund.
Kittens: All kittens must be
at least four (4) months of age on the day of the show to be eligible for competition in
the kitten class. Altered kittens may
be shown.
Household
Pets: Registration with
TICA is not required, but is necessary to be scored for TICA annual awards. All HHPets over the age of 8 months must be
altered. HHPets are judged according to hair
length Longhair (LH) or Shorthair (SH) and according to color and division. Please describe your cats color and coat
pattern accurately and note whether LH or SH on your entry.
A color photo mailed with your entry will be returned.
Exhibition/For
Sale: Please complete an
entry form for each cat or kitten, as this is required for the catalogue. Please note, this fee does not include
caging and prices are different for those who have other cats entered in competition
(exhibitors) versus those who do not (non-exhibitors).
Kittens for sale/exhibition must be at least three (3) months old on
the day of the show. Litter
registration on "for sale" kittens is required and proof of vaccination
certificates may be requested on exhibition/sale entries.
Cats and /or kittens not listed in the catalogue must be removed at the show
managers request.
Show
Rules: By entering, all
exhibitors agree to abide by the decisions of the judges, the show committee, and the TICA
show rules. All entries must be listed in the official show catalogue. The show committee
reserves the right to refuse entry and/or to have any person or animal removed from the
show hall when deemed to be in the best interest of the show. A copy of the official show
rules can be obtained from TICA, PO Box 2988, Harlingen, Texas, 78551. TICA registration
is not necessary to enter a show but is required to earn titles and to be scored for
regional and international awards.
Show Format: There will be eight rings per day. Judges will complete AB and SP formats on alternate days.
Show
Hours: Saturday the doors
will open at 7:30 AM. Exhibitors must check
in with the Entry Clerk prior to entering the show hall.
Household Pet classification will begin at 8:45 AM Saturday and judging will
start promptly at 9:00 AM. Sunday
judging will begin at 9:00 AM. Entries not
present at the start of judging will be marked absent.
No cat will be allowed to leave the show hall without the written permission
of the show manager. Advertised hours for the public will be from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
daily.
Benching: Only one benching
request per entry. Benching requests will be honored wherever possible.
Health: This is a
non-vetted show, but entries must conform to normally accepted health requirements and
have current vaccination certificates available if requested. Any entry showing signs of illness will be asked
to leave the show. All claws, front and back,
must be clipped. Cats entering Canada must
show proof of Rabies vaccination, if requested to do so by Canada Customs.
Cages: Single 21" X
21" X 21", Double 21" X 21" X 45". Each entry is entitled to a
single cage. Double cages are available (See Summary Sheet). Only one cat or two kittens will be allowed per
single cage and two cats or four kittens per double cage.
Backs, sides and tops of cages must be covered. If bringing your own cage, the appropriate space
(i.e. double) must be booked. Only one chair
will be provided per single cage space.
Litter: Litter will be
provided. Please bring your own litter pans.
People
food: People food is available from the restaurant at the Glenmore
Inn or from other establishments in the vicinity of the show hall. Absolutely no alcohol is permitted in the show
hall.
Rosettes: Rosettes will be awarded according to TICA rules.
Show
Catalogue: One catalogue is complimentary with
first entry. Additional catalogues will be
$7.50.

Advertising: Must be photo
ready. Deadline is October 16, 2005. See Summary Sheet for prices.
Breeder
Directory: In addition to
catalogue listings, we are also providing a Breeders Directory as part of the
Spectators Guide. This is an excellent opportunity to make your name and cattery
known to the public, since the guide is available to guests paying admission to the show.
If you would like to be listed in the Breeders Directory, please indicate so on the
Summary Sheet.
Ring
Clerks: Ring Clerks will be
given lunch and $30.00 for each day clerked. Clerking fees will be paid at the completion
of your assignment. Do not deduct clerking fees from your entry fees. If you are interested in clerking, please contact
the entry clerk.
Vendor
Space: Vendor space is
available. Contact Joan Adams at (403) 282-4312 for details. There is a charge of $100.00
for a 10 foot booth with 2 chairs for two days.
Show Hotel: The Glenmore Inn and Convention Centre, 2720 Glenmore Trail, SE, Calgary, AB T2C 2E6; phone #1-800-661-3163 or (403)-279-8611, website www.glenmoreinn.com. Show hotel is within walking distance to show hall. Room rates: $89 + taxes per night (quote cat club/SACCF when reserving room to receive this special rate). No pet deposit required, but guests will be asked for either a credit card, or proof of identification and a $100 refundable cash security deposit. This is the first time the Glenmore Inn has allowed pets to stay at their facility, therefore TICA official hotel room policy will be in place, and guests with pets will be expected to sign the Glenmore Inn’s pet policy agreement (document at the bottom of this page).

Airport
Transportation: Taxi service is
available. Also, there is a shuttle service
provided by Airport Shuttle Express (403) 509-4799 or 1-888-438-2992, http://www.airportshuttleexpress.com .
Cost is $25.00 for one or two people, $31 for 3 people, and $37 for 4 people between the
airport and show hotel. Larger groups of
10 can be booked in a passenger van for $85. Quote
SACCF to receive these special rates. Advance
reservations by telephone or on-line are strongly recommended but transportation can also be purchased at their
airport counter during peak hours.
Show Hall
Transportation: None is provided,
please make you own arrangements.
Liability: The Southern Alberta Calgary Cat Fanciers Association, it's individual members, the City of Calgary, or TICA are not liable for injury, loss, or damage to cats, exhibitors, vendors or other persons attending the show, nor any property belonging to exhibitors, vendors or other persons.
ü I accept the responsibility of any damage done to my room by my pet. I therefore give permission to the hotel to charge me for any damage done to my room, or for any additional cleaning needed for the room after my stay.
ü I also promise never to leave my animal unattended in my room.
ü I understand that the hotel reserves the right at all times to ask any guest to leave or remove his or her animal, or to evict the guest for any violation of these rules, or if any other guest’s stay is disturbed by the presence of the pet (i.e. noise, animal left unattended etc.)
