Commercial Division

The farmers of Saanich Organics are committed to encouraging the sustainability of small-scale farms and the availability of local, organic food through creative and co-operative marketing. The commercial division of Saanich Organics was formed to make our marketing to restaurants and retail outlets more efficient. We wanted to give chefs and produce managers a way to access the produce of several local, small, certified (or transitional) organic farms with one weekly phone call, and one consistent weekly delivery. Twice each week, four to eight farmers call Heather and let her know what they have available. She then calls chefs and produce managers with this master list, and they simply tell her what they want. The produce is then picked to order, the day before it is delivered by our trusty friend Tim Deighton. Delivery days are Tuesdays or Fridays.
