As usual, 54 Seconds projected a feeling of vision in their music and I guess that, yeah, it definitely made it interesting and exciting! This is a great show and to steal a phrase from another cool Austin musician: "The show rocked like a magic kiss!" Guest drummer - Earl Harvin

"Early Warning" - The
intro teases you with anticipation. Ambient sounds that tantalize
your ears. The sounds are full of sensory stimuli. And
that's just the opening. What a build-up! This is a song that the
band enjoys playing live and the energy captures that every time. "Jaded" - Love the arrangement on this song. They be jamming and it works, fuckin' eh! The organ solo really stood out for me this time : ). I wish that I could watch the performance as well as listen to the music. It would be nice to see the body movements "Poppyseed" - The band sounds really great. They really reach the audience with this one. It draws you in quickly and takes you to a spiritual place. It's kind of sad and it evokes a certain melancholy. Always hauntingly gorgeous and mournful. Love the outro! "Nashville" - Sit back, close your eyes and experience this song. Very enchanting intro. This is a depressing song when you consider the subject matter, but it is oddly comforting. Nice drumming. Lovely vocals and guitar. Lots of emotion and one that I enjoy hearing every time. "World Stood Still" - Sophisticated song! Stewart gets your adrenaline going with this one. This song is full of imagery and beauty. God, it's beautiful!! Very inspirational performance and one that leaves me speechless (always a good thing according to people who know me). "You Are Not Me" - Little different arrangement. I like it. The band is sharp and very effective. "Foolish Me" - Great song that really shows it's appeal live with all of the cool sounds. Great blend of keyboards, drums, bass and guitar. Good and extremely enjoyable. "Got You Thinking" - No matter what your mood is, listening to this song gives you instant gratification. Nice bass Glenn! Love those harmonies. Flawless performance. "Strange Day"- Blows me out of the water every time I hear it! I've said it before and I'll say it again, cracking band! |
