August 18, 2007 In Regina, Jester earned his CGN like a pro! Jester and his owners Bill and Charmian have made us proud in 2007 with what they have done with him so far! August 3 - 6, 2007 AKC show in Calgary was a pretty busy show for us (not to mention the puppies that came half way through): Kash earned his CD in 3 straight trials here in Calgary at the AKC show in August 2007. He did it with 3 placements as well (and some fantastic scores too), a second, third and fourth place. Dinah has done an AMAZING job with this boy, we could not be more proud. I was able to watch him in the ring for his first leg which made it that much more special. Seeker earned her CGN and TT titles this weekend as well as going reserve winners bitch all three days she was shown! August 5, 2007 MOKA'S LITTER ARRIVED ... 7 BOYS AND 3 GIRLS! July 22, 2007 USRC Northwest Regional Sieger Show in DeWinton, Alberta, Seeker earns an SG-4 rating under judge Andreas Mueller. It was VERY hot out and Seeker showed and ran like a dream. Her critique is now posted on her webpage!
July 20, 2007 Seeker passed her cardiac certification and will soon have her OFA Cardiac clearance number! July 7, 2007 At the Vernon and District Kennel Club show in Vernon, BC, our handsome co-owned boy from our 'Dream' Litter, Bauer, enters the show ring for only the second time with his owner Brandie at the lead. Well, he did not let her down going Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex for his first 2 point win. June 8, 2007 Regina Kennel and Obedience Club, Jester earns another point towards his Championship going Winners Dog and Best of Opposite sex. Owner-handled by Bill Robb once again! Way to go guys!
June 3, 3007 Click here to check out our UPDATED breeding plans for 2007!!! June 2, 2007 HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY to our 'Dream' Litter! May 26, 2007APDT Rally Trials at Sit Happens! here in Calgary, Jewel earns a 204 in level one for a placement in the B classes (just to earn points for standings in 2007) and would have had a fabulous score and another leg in level 2 were it not for the pylon that jumped out and bit us ..... well, not really. Jewel knocked it over, so we NQ'd, but had an otherwise perfect run. Sigh ...... May 17 - 20, 2007 Chilliwack, BC! WOW, what a week. We had a super trip out to the coast to dabble in a little bit of everything and to get to see some of the pups from our 'Dream' litter that we had not seen since they left! So, let's recap a bit: May 17, we attended a Herding Instinct Test in Chilliwack at the home of CKC herding judge, Shelley Fritzke. She ran Seeker and Dax through the test, and both passed with FLYING colors earning their HICs. May 18, was the first day of the of the RCC National Specialty. To start off with a BANG, Jewel and I entered into the utility ring and with a few minor errors, Jewel earned the first leg of her UD title with a High in Class score under respected judge and Rottweiler owner, Lindsay Ibbotson. That afternoon, Seeker and I went into Sweeps and she earned a second place ribbon in the 9-12 month class. Both Dax and Seeker were entered in Breeder Sweeps as well, but with Seeker being the only puppy in the female class and Dax being up against some more mature males, it was not to be, but both showed beautifully. 'Harry Potter' litter Daddy, Caemon won Veteran Sweeps in a competitive class and he showed like a pro as always. May 19, the specialty day, we had Bauer entered in his first show, and he came in second place in the senior puppy male class showing very nicely for a 'green' puppy. In the Senior puppy class, Tessa and Seeker went 1 and 2 both being taken out of the line up to move out again for the judge (John Thompson from Australia). He was pleasantly surprised that they were littermates when we showed up for a picture at the lunch break!! Dax and Moka both showed beautifully as well in the specials class. They, along with Seeker, helped Jewel earn second place in the Brood Bitch class. That was a dream as I thought there was just no way we would even be looked at given the calibre of the competition! This was a big show with some 'big names' and some beautiful dogs.
Jewel (far left) going second in Brood Bitch with her kids (l to r) Seeker, Moka and Dax! Special thanks to Simone Poshe-Mottle and Heather Peters for arranging the HIC, and for Marina Skoreiko who stepped in and handled Tessa and Seeker for me! AND, while all of this was happening on the WET coast, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Jester earned another point towards his Championship going Best of Breed 2 days! What a weekend this was! May 5, 2007 CADF Cardiac/Eye Clinic, Seeker is preliminarily cardiac cleared by Dr. Wood (Cardiologist from Oregon), who has done all of our heart testing over the years. YIPEE! May 2007 - OFA results are back; click here to go to the OFA Page. Scroll down to see the results. Wicca CHIC#39105 Moka CHIC#39313 Dax CHIC#39312
April 13 - 15, 2007 - In North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Jester becomes Jewel's 5th CKC pointed kid going Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Breed at his VERY FIRST show ever, owner-handled by Bill, his dad! He went Best Puppy in Breed again on Sunday! April 2, 2007 HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY to our Harry Potter Litter!!! Wicca, Moka and Dax have all had their hip and elbow xrays completed and sent to OFA; and now we WAIT for the results ..... keep fingers and paws crossed! March 29, 2007 We received Seeker's preliminary OFA report in the mail today (which we did 9 days previously at 9.5 months of age) with SUPER results: GOOD Hips and NORMAL elbows! YIPEE! Just 14 months until the real thing! March 17, 2007 APDT Rally Trials held at Sit Happens! here in Calgary. Jewel and I try our hand at level 2 for the first time and because I choose not to use food in the ring, I was the first one in as well (trial by fire at it's best). Well, we could not have had a better run through; Jewel earned a 203 score, a High in Class A placement as well as a High Score in Level 2 Award (High Level 2 Trial)! And to top that off, we got HUGE ribbons, and new training bag and a book! WOO HOO!
Jewel and her HUGE ribbon! March 3-4, 2007 CKOC Show in Calgary; Dax and Seeker had a super Saturday. Dax went Winners Dog and Best of Winners for another 2 points sitting him on 8 points. Seeker went Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy in Breed for her first point. Sunday was a SUPER day - Dax finishes his Canadian Championship going Winners Dog, Best of Winners and BEST OF BREED for his final 2 points! He showed beautifully, what a way to finish! February 22, 2007 We got a little surprise in the mail today in the form of a certificate ... A National Ranking Award for 2006 for ourJewel. In just 3 rally trials in 2006, Jewel earned her RL1 with an Award of Excellence and a 2006 APDT Rally Achievement Award, Canadian Top 20 with a National Ranking of #17! What a surprise considering we decided to try rally-obedience on a whim last year just before being bred to Bud and finishing the title just 9 weeks after the litter was born! What else can this little girl do? February 2 - 4, 2007 Friday at the Alberta Kennel Club Show here in Calgary, Dax took one more point towards his Championship going Winners Dog, and Seeker, in her very first show ever went Best Puppy in Breed beating a little bit older male puppy! And best of all, she had FUN!!! On Saturday, Moka went Best of Opposite Sex beating out other specials bitches and showing wonderfully for her Momma Cindy! Seeker went on to go Reserve Winners Bitch both Saturday and Sunday, showing me that she actually gets more crazy as a show weekend goes on. She was most certainly eager to please me and had a great time out there! The judges thought she was pretty funny as well, galloping and leaping around the ring. Not exactly what I wanted, but she was having fun, who was I to drag her down??? January 28, 2007 Regina, Saskatchewan, Jewel (X Buddy) has her first obedience titled offspring! Jester, also known as Akamai Dreaming Jester, earned his Pre-Novice title (PCD) at their local obedience trials at the very young age of just shy of 8 months old! Amazing work from this team, they have made me very proud!
