All art begins with an idea, a photograph from a vacation or a sketch. If you are interested in commissioning a piece of art as a gift for someone or for yourself, I would be happy to discuss your ideas with you. The mediums I use are chalk pastels or acrylic and paintings can be created using either one. Chalk pastels are typically used on paper and mounted under glass, where acrylic is painted directly to canvas and then framed if required. I use a gallery canvas, with wide sides, and each piece is painted over the edge onto the side, which then allows you to hang the artwork without framing if you wish.
