was born and raised in Montreal .
As a french speaking youngster and the oldest in a large family of ten kids, I was kept quite busy doing odd jobs; working to add to the family pot. It's hard to be a working teenager and go to school at the same time. My father was a policeman for the city of Montreal
and died with the rank of Lieutenant at the young age of 54. I have four adult sons and three grandchildren.
A fter having persued many avenues through many different jobs as a teenager and becoming more fluent in the English language at the age of nineteen, in 1949, I joined the Royal Canadian Air Force. I started out training as a Radar Operator/Technician. After 25 years I retired having served in many isolated posts in northern
Canada, the Arctic, France , and as a Liaison Officer with the French Air Force, and exchange duty in the USA with the U.S. Air Force for NORAD.
After leaving the military I was hired by Canadian General Electric (CGE) as a Technical Director and continued travelling the globe
working on diesel locomotives, mine HOV units, large shovels, coal stackers, traincar dumpers, paper mills and other large apparatus. The
depression of the early eighties led me once again into retirement after 10 years with CGE.
I've been enjoying my retirement spending some winters in the past in
Arizona and pursuing my hobbies in electronics and playing the organ among other things.
