THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Back in 1972 when Champlain was first platted I was skeptical: just more sprawl.

Well, my eldest who worked briefly at the care facility, a long time ago, drove me around, commenting on the way. So, a sunny, July 2010, Monday afternoon, and we drove thru a most beautiful arbourous, pastoral setting: not unlike Hampstead Garden Village, London. She loves the area.

Pathways wind and meander thru groves of trees and greenways, past a school, communty center and even a little corner store. Huh, for an inner city subdivision, what a pleasant surprise.

In such a setting the shopping mall is a necessity, of course, yet repetitious of more of the same: complacently designed. Please visit
