Recording Studio

Rock and Rock 101 Studio in Coronation Alberta is the perfect for all your music recording needs.

• The studio is a 4500 square foot formally Catholic Church built in 1967.
• There is a lot of open space with 25 foot vaulted ceilings and wonderful sound.
• There are many choices for sound chambers that produce different sounds.
• There is a computer network and patching abilities.
• The studio has the capability to record several musicians at the same time, all in separate isolation booths with site lines and window placement.
• There is also the option of using video camera monitoring through out a large portion of the building.
• There is a great atmosphere and the studio is a very inspiring place to record.
• The studio can record up to 96kHz at 24 bit.
• Ability to mix up to 18 Tracks of Audio simultaneously and 32 tracks of mid simultaneously.
• The studio can mix down over 50 Tracks of Audio and 64 tracks of midi archive up to 256 tracks per song.
• Expert knowledge of Sonar 4, which can convert platform to emulate other software programs. Hot keys on the market make it easy for producers with other software to run the studio.
• Collection of organs, keyboards, synthesizers and other instruments to work from.
• Stephen ‘The Gooch’ Flath has many years of recording engineering and production experience

Video Studio

• The studio a huge amount of headroom, open space, a stage, a balcony, rafters that can hang a massive amount of rigging
• There are two 50 amp, 220 volt plugs wired on stage.
• There is access to a huge light show and rigging, video producers and production people. There is a shop and support tools for building sets. i.e. band saw, painting booth, air compression etc.
• The studio is building green background  and blue background.
• The studio has pyro cannons and is currently building flame flashers and a dry ice machine.

P.A. Rentals

• The studio has a large amount of sound gear monitors.
• There is a panel van ready to move this equipment.
• The studio can do sound support from a small tea party to an arena rock and roll show and even huge outdoor concerts.
• Rock and Roll 101 has very experienced engineers and roadies for hire.
• There are resources from all over Western Canada that can be utilized to put on events. The studio has DJ gear and contracted De Jay’s for hire.
• The studio can send out a rig with contracted roadies and engineers.

• Our contractors can design, build and install sound gear.

Technical Support

• Steve Flath has broad range of technical ability.  He can fix a lot of electrical and mechanical small appliances, TV’s, stereos, CD players, musical instruments (guitars, keyboards, pianos, organs, speaker re-coning, piano tuning, luthiering, etc). The studio offers all the tools and technical support.

Music Education

• The Studio teaches guitar and bass as well as voice lessons. In the near future courses for sound engineering music and computers will be offered.

Management

• The studio will build bands from scratch and can take bands on to the next level.

• Steve Flath the studio owner has many industry connections and access to agent promoters, bar owners, bar managers, trackers, publicists and booking agents.

• Steve Flath has been in the music business for over 20 years and has built many bands as well as trained musicians and performers.
