Robert Scott Michiel

"I was born in Calgary, Alberta and while growing up lived throughout the province with my family. My passion for photography surfaced at an early age. I recall when I was five years old my older brother set fire to our couch. Looking back, I always wished I could have had a photograph of that! What amazes me about this process are the thoughts and feelings that come back to you when you are thinking externally in terms of creative visualization - I call it the boomerang effect. I do portraits and commissioned work and also shoot locally/travel solo in my efforts to capture a subject or theme on film. I reside in Beaumont, Alberta with my loving wife and son."
